Need help exchanging
your time?
Tired of trying to make a good
exchange for your valuable Club Donatello intervals? The Club
Donatello's Reservation Department can help you to exchange your
Donatello interval with any of the above exchange companies. The fee is
$40.00 US for each banked week, non-refundable, payable in advance, with
no guarantee of results. But you know our Reservations team will go the
extra mile to make it happen.
Here's how the process works:
By phone, e-mail, or fax, you, as Owner, request the Club
Donatello Reservation Department to assign a Club Donatello week to
deposit into the Exchange Company of choice, RCI, SFX, II, Dial
Exchange, or Trading Places.
A specific week beginning on a Thursday will be assigned
up to one year in advance (the week must covered by annual dues paid).
Although a specific week is assigned and will be banked with the
Exchange Company, it has no bearing on your planned travel dates. The
exchange companies give you up to two years from the date of the banked
week to reserve another week at another resort. For example, if the week
banked is January 1-8, 2007, you have until January 1, 2009, to
use the week within the available resort inventory of the Exchange
Company.
When you have your week assigned, call the Exchange
Company to bank your assigned week and to make a vacation request if you
know where you want to go. The Exchange Company will verify with the
Club Donatello that you are an Owner in good standing, and the week was
reserved for you. Only after verification will the Exchange Company send
you an acknowledgment that you have indeed banked a week within their
system.
When can you request help to use your banked week?
You can ask the Club's Reservation Department for help using your banked
week only after you have attempted to use your week with the Exchange
Company without success. You must provide the Reservations Department
with written background information of your attempt, including the
details of all written or oral communications between you and the
Exchange Company. The team member needs all the facts before trying to
make the exchange on your behalf. The exchange request MUST be for a
Club Donatello banked week.
You should be aware that the key ingredient to making a
successful exchange is flexibility of travel dates and destination
resorts. The Reservations team member will help you fill out the
Exchange Service Assistance form and remind you that flexibility is
important.
The team member will also collect the $40.00 (US)
exchange service fee for each week being exchanged, payable by check,
money order, travelers check or credit card. The credit card transaction
can be fulfilled by completing a credit card authorization form and
returning it by fax to (415)
441-1816, or by mail to the Club offices. The fee
is paid in advance and is not refundable regardless of the outcome of
the exchange request.
