LEGAL
ADVISORY &, LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
This is a special committee chaired by Michael Milnes, our CDOA Legal
Counsel, and a group of Owners who are attorneys providing their advice and
counsel on a pro bono basis to the CDOA. In addition, we have several other CDOA
Owners who are active in local CA politics, including functioning as lobbyists
for other business interests, however, they provide us with their insights and
advice on legislative matters impacting on the Club Donatello in our capacities
as a nonprofit mutual benefit corporation, a small employer, a homeowners
association, a condominium association covered under the common interest
development laws of CA, and we are a timeshare entity.
We are active members of the CA Chamber of Commerce, the American Resort
Development Association, the Community Associations Institute – California
Legislative Action Committee, and several other timeshare related organizations
who provide us with information helpful in dealing with legal and legislative
matters, whether at the local, regional, state, or national level.
